Bottom Fishing

During our summer months here in the Treasure Coast, the bottom fishing can get very good. There are various ways to bottom fish but anchoring and drifting are the preferred methods to do it. The best part about bottom fishing is that you never know what you may get. Some of the most common species we catch in this area are the snappers, such as the red or mutton snapper, or the groupers, such as the gag, red, black or snowy grouper. These fish vary in size but usually range between 6-20 pounds (sometimes even bigger than that). Bottom fish are great eating and have a very delicate and moist taste to it!

Check out some of the bottom fish we caught this week!
